Snow ball effect

My school work has had this enormous snowball effect. It seems the harder I try to catch up, the further behind I fall. But I will get through it. I have stayed up to do homework till 11-12 every night this week, and I even missed out on hanging out with James last Friday, to try to get caught up.

Aside from the stress of being behind, I had a wonderful weekend. James and I went for a bike ride Saturday afternoon, and then off to the Melting Pot we went for our Valentines Celebration. It was the probably the best meal I have had in years. It was so good. The atmosphere was romantic, the company was excellent, the food was excuisit.

Here are some pics from our bike ride on the UF campus (we stopped at some of the more famous land marks on Campus) and at the Melting pot.

Al and Alberta, our school mascotts...

After dinner, I am sooooo full here, and so is James. wow we ate so much food, four courses to be exact. :)

And a picture of our chocolate on fire :) Unfortunately I did not know it would not take with the flash on, so this is near the end of the flame. It was huge.

Then Sunday Ruth, Larry and I left at the hairy ass crack of dawn to go horse back riding at Fred's house. Fred has always been my favorite officer, he is more like a surrogate father. He is Getting married (on horseback) on April 15, and has asked me to perform the ceremony. I am totally stoked. But back to the original point, he and Collete have a ton of horses, and have offered to let us come and ride. It was the best Sunday I have had in a long time. We gave Larry the tamest horse Hot Shot, as he has only ridden once, and Ruth the other tame horse, cause she has not ridden in forever, and she used to ride English. Which left me on the crazy horses (we went through three) First Sparkles, who I was handling okay, she just did not want to listen, then Pepper whom I did not even get on, and then finally Pokey, who was a bit of a handful at first, but I got her under control pretty quick, and then we just rode for over an hour. It was great! The picture below is me on sparkles...

Crazy horse!
Me in the middle of clicking to muh crazy horse!
Larry looking pretty comfy on Hot Shot!

Ruth getting fitted in her stirrups on Mystery, who was by far the largest horse, and I think the prettiest one (of the ones we rode) My favorite hores is Dundee, but he is not in the pictures!

All three of us, don;t we look like pros, And totally by accident we are lined up tallest to shortest.

Then it was back to the house to work on my homework! I did an in class composition yesterday in spanish, and got a 94 on it. :) We have a test on Monday, that I am totally not looking forward to. :(

Tomorrow, we (James and I, Larry, and Ruth and Andy) are leaving to go to the highland games. I am totally stoked about it. It is not the same one we went to last year, but it should still have the same activities. I will take lots of pics! Then I have to study study study!

Factoid:

How long is a Martian year?

It's a year long, if you're from Mars. To an earthling, it's nearly twice as long. The red planet takes 687 Earth-days to go around the Sun -- compared to 365 days for Earth. Taking into account Mars' different rotational time (see #13 below) calendars on Mars would be about 670 days long with some leap days needed to keep things square. If you find one, please mail it to me. I'm curious how they worked out the months, given they have two moons. [The initial publication of this fact mistakenly said a Mars calendar would have 687 days.]

Espanol: tener miedo de = to be afraid tener frio = to be cold tener calor = to be hot tener cuidado = to be careful tener sueno = to be tired. Now to change any of these to I am afraid, cold or tired, just cange tener to tengo. i.e. tengo frio

It sounds like you are very busy with homework, but you have a great attitude about it, as you say "but I will get through it" I like your determination, that's a great key to success.
The bike ride sounds fun! Jonathan took me and Bri out for a bike ride when we were visiting him, it was awesome! Unfortunately I lost that camera and was not able to post pics. YOu and James look great together! And you look very gorgeous at the melting pot! That chocolate sounds so good. My daughter got some chocolate as a gift and I ate it all, I couldn't help it, but she let me lol. I bought Jonathan chocolate too once and ate it all, there is something wrong with both those pictures i'd say lol.
How are you going to perform the ceremony, like you are going to be the celebrant type thing? wow, my goodness you must be his special spritey!!
All the pix are great, it's nice to see them all, thanks for sharing them, I can't ride horseys.

Hairy ass crack of dawn??? That made me choke on my coffee lol.
Love x

Mmmm.....,
Dinner looks and sounds yummy!
I just love chocolate!
Have you seen the Movie-"waiting'?
If you like to eat out, don't ever watch it. It is very, very funny, but I don't think I will ever eat anywhere else but my own kitchen!
There should be a warning on the cover or something. Beware-Don't watch if you enjoy eating at restaurants! Good luck with all the homework!

AWWWWWW... the two of you are lovely together. Dinner sounds like it was terrific. My dinners out include, McDonalds and Wendys! Yah I have kids!! Thats my excuse. We have a super beautiful restaurant here in Vernon called the Vernon Lodge its like you are dining outdoors but you really aren't. Its built over a creek that runs below and you can eat and view the creek, watch people swimming in a pool, hide out under the huge trees and enjoy a meal. Its so beautiful.
I have a horse named Peaches (Broom Gal), ex race horse you get the jist! Ex race horse=pyscho! I rode her many times until she heard a telephone ring (sounded like ring at the gates)at the neighbours and then ran us both into a fence where I landed on my neck and broke me hand. Thats the last time I ever rode her! xx Love ya.

starbender I will stear clear of waiting , thanks for the warning!

rev^3, I actually have a metal rose that was hand crafted from the Hoggetowne Fair, and it smells :) I also dried my valentine roses to hang on my wall, and they smell good too!

Alex, It was just what the doctor ordered thanks!

seenie - that is aweful! mystery is actually an x racehorse. But thankfully we did not have any problems. And there is nothing wrong with Wendy's! Having kids is a great excuse!!! Vernon Lodge sounds wonderful.... I think I have a mission for you an patrick, lol, since I can't come up there and go myself, you guys should go, and take pictures to post for me!!! Nice pictures, you really can see you're a real cowgirl chick. And about the homework part, I can imagine, school is getting pretty mean. All the stuff people are ought to do (my school really seems to think people my age don't have a social life or so. I hope your school is not like that, but because it's a school I'm afraid your school is just as mean)
